forever your dog
about being a pathetic yearner
what did you expect? i am a lover before i am a poet before i am a woman and when you leave her or she leaves you or love simply stops, i’ll be here waiting here like a dog, my head on your lap so you can loosen the leash and let me gnaw at the bones of your cruel indifference. i’ll be here pretending i don’t want this, fantasising, calling quits, i’ll be under the neon lights that now glow black and white waiting for a miracle to align in front of me. and if i’m not here, at your feet, you won’t have to look too far, you won’t have to try too hard, pull on my leash and i’ll run right back. before i am a lover or a poet or a woman, i am forever your dog.

THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL WHAT...
THIS IS SO STUNNING
